Why Complacency Will Kill You And What To Do About It

Complacency will kill you, figuratively and literally…

Because everything changes and nothing lasts forever.

Neglecting those words will cost you your health, wealth and even your life.

If you don’t believe me, listen to the Buddha who will tell you that existence is temporary and transient.

Or the famed investor Jim Rogers, who says the world changes every 15 years.

Or if you don’t those guys, just open a book on history.

You’ll see that England was the biggest empire the world had ever known in 1918, but by 1945 it was reduced to rubble.

And now Singapore,a former British colony built on swampland with no natural resources now has more millionaires per capital than England or anywhere else in the world.

Or look at former titans Kodak, Blockbuster, Radio Shack, Toys R Us and Lehman Brothers filing for bankruptcy.

Or Chrysler and GM only existing because the government bailed them out.

Or Sears, J. Crew and Neiman Marcus on their way to bankruptcy…

Half of the S&P 500 will be replaced in the next decade.

No company is safe from complacency and failure to adapt to the times.

Complacency kills because there is no neutral in life.

Neutral is just an illusion, life only looks neutral in the moment.

But in hindsight, you can see that you we’re going down.

Because gravity always brings a flatline down.

And every year you’re either going up or you’re going down.

So knowing that, the most logical thing to do is get up and stay up…

For as long as you possibly can, until the damn wheels fall off.

And the only way to know you’re going up for sure is to get better every year.

So aim to get healthier every year.

Aim to get wealthier every year.

Aim to get your revenue up every year

Aim to get your profit up every year

Aim to get more winners in your inner circle every year.

And aim to keep getting better for as long as you possibly can.

If you’re smart you know that on a long enough timeline everything fails…

But if you’re smart and tough you’ll know that the logical thing to do is to push that failure off for as long as you can.

And that means getting healthier for as long as you can, getting wealthier for as long as you can, and building a business that outlives you.

Since everything changes, the smart thing to do is make that change for the better.

Be great, and aim to be greater every year, it only makes sense.

Aim to push your luck for as long as you can.

Aim to push your finances as far as you can…

Because why the f#ck not, regular life is boring.

Not only does complacency kill, but it’s not even f#cking fun.

So f#ck regular life and f*ck complacency.

Get up, stay up, stay moving forward and ride that motherf#@ker until the wheels fall off.
