How To Get Rid Of A Cold Fast

Pinterest Google+

If you want to learn how to get rid of a cold fast, I have the secret. It’s cheap, easy to use and most importantly it works. I used to get 4 colds a year when the seasons changed and have tried every remedy available to minimize the effects but none have worked until now.

I’ve tried Echinacea, Glutamine, Vitamin D, Vitamin b, Ginseng, Gingko Biloba, all garbage but I’ve had massive success with megadosing Vitamin C and eliminating things I’m allergic too. Here’s what you need to know:

How To Get Rid Of A Cold Fast

Vitamin C Megadosing

  • The dosage I used is based on the work Robert Cathcart who studied megadoses of Vitamin C in over 9000 patients
  • His  method is to titrate to bowel tolerance or in other words megadose take vitamin C in measured doses until you get the first signs of diarrhea
  • He noticed the sicker the patient the higher the dosage they would need before tolerance was noticed
  • Cathcart advocates megadosing Vitamin C for many other diseases as well but I haven’t tested those claims
  • Cathcart also advocated splitting megadoses up throughout the day going as high as 100 grams depending on the severity of the cold
  • I dose slightly differently than the Cathcart protocol, he advocates splitting the doses throughout the day where I find taking a megadose in the morning is enough as long as you catch the cold in its pre or initial stages
  • In my opinion there really is no excuse not to catch the cold in its early stages therefore this should be a non issue, my dosage schedule is below

Pre Cold

  • Take 5 grams slow release Vitamin C at the first sign of a cold to prevent the cold (itchy nose/throat), you have to be ruthless with this and in tune with your body
  • Having an itchy nose or throat isn’t normal, it’s always a sign you’re fighting something off and need some powerful antioxidants like Vitamin C to help

Initial Stage Cold

  • Take 10 grams slow Release at this stage (this may cause light diarrhea so have loperamide on hand)

  • 10 grams a day each morning, you will still have the virus but your symptoms will be almost non-existent, I say you will be operating at about 97% health, you can take another 5 grams in the afternoon if you feel the symptoms getting stronger
  • At 10 grams a day your morning dump will be noticeably looser but should be below the level of diarrhea, if you get diarrhea make sure to slightly lower the dosage

  • In addition to megadosing, there are 2 things that made big differences to me, one was to stop drinking milk which had a massive impact on the strength of my immune system
  • The second major thing was never to go to sleep with the or heat/ac on otherwise I’ll always wake up with a tingly throat and stuffy nose, warning signs that your body is in a weakened state

Just follow the gameplan to the letter and you’ll get rid of that cold fast, or if you catch it early enough, stop it in it’s tracks.

Hope it works, for you, if it starts to hurt your stomach, just lower or space out the dosage.

I started getting the first itchiness of a sore throat last night and took your advice. Went to the store, bought a 1000 mg bottle of time released Vitamin C, and took 5 of them of them with a green smoothie.

I’m writing this the next morning and while I still have a light itchiness, it’s drastically reduced. Going to take another 5 g tonight before I go to bed, and hopefully that’ll end it.

    Thanks Will, you’re the man.

Outstanding, I would also take another 5 grams this morning too, the morning dose is key.

I agree with cut out the dairy products during a cold and rationalise it like this.

The emulsifier of the fat and water in milk is cow mucus, think cow slobber!
    This then translates into phlem.

Cut the dairy, cut the runny nose

Did not know that, but totally makes sense
