Why You Should Chase Fulfillment Over Money

When I worked in sales I hated my life.

I hated my life every day.

For 40 hours a week I hated my life.

And you couldn’t pay me enough to go back.

But I don’t regret it.

Because sales paid for my freedom.

And more importantly, sales taught me that money means nothing without fulfillment.

The suits, the apartment, the nice restaurants – worthless.

Worthless without fulfillment.

Money is worthless without fulfillment.

Money means nothing without happiness.

Because happiness is everything

The cars, the clothes, the women – we chase those things because we think they’ll make us happy.

But they only make you happy if you enjoy the journey.

If you hate the journey, chasing the dream will only make you miserable.

And whatever you get out of it will be a cold consolation.

Luxury is not Louis Vuitton

Luxury is loving your work

Luxury is living well.

Luxury is waking up excited.

Luxury is living your passion.

But make no mistake, living your passion is a luxury.

Don’t believe the hype, most people can’t live their passion.

Because the system can’t run on passion.

The system runs on janitors and garbagemen and cab drivers.

Passion is a luxury.

And Living A Life Of Luxury Is Expensive

It costs money, time, dedication and talent.

You need a market, and skills, and savvy, and work ethic.

And you need to be a competitor

Because you need to compete to get there.

And not everyone can compete.

And not everyone is willing to compete.

To the victor go the spoils.

And the spoils are a life you enjoy.

Now That’s Not To Say Money Isn’t Important…

Money is very important.

Money either solves or helps solve every problem in your life.

And making six figures is an excellent goal.

But it’s not worth hating your life for 50 hours a week.

No amount of money is worth living in misery.

Nothing means anything if you hate your life.

Consistent happiness is the move…

If you’re not consistently happy, you’re f*cking up

It doesn’t matter how much money you’re making.

If you hate your job or your business, you’re f*cking up.

The right move is doing what you love.

The right move is selling a service you’re passionate about.

Or solving a problem you’re happy about solving.

It’s about finding your passion.

Finding your market.

Honing your skills.

And selling your f*cking ass off.

That’s your move.

Then You Get To Live How You Want

I get to do what I want every day and I thank God for it.

I thank God I don’t have to make cold calls anymore.

And I thank God I don’t have to deal with coworkers anymore.

And I thank God I don’t have to sell products I don’t care about anymore.

I’ve never made a better purchase than my freedom.

And You Have The Exact Option Within You

From copywriting to photography to videography to graphic design to personal training…

There have never been more ways to make money than today.

And you’ve never had more resources available to you than today.

Sure It Won’t Be Easy At First…

But nothing is.

The good news is, it gets better.

At first you might struggle to make a profit.

But soon enough that recurring revenue starts to come in.

Then you get comfortable.

Then you hit your financial goals.

But This Is Where A Lot Of Guys F*ck Up

They take on more stress and more businesses and more product lines then they can handle.

They f*ck their happiness up by chasing the almighty dollar.

Sh*t, I’ve f*cked this one up myself, many times.

And each time it cost me my peace of mind.

The smart move is to simplify

Once you reach financial freedom, the smart move is to outsources your headaches.

The smart move is to stop taking on work you don’t want to do.

The smart move is to create more free time for yourself.

Time to do more of what you love and less of what you hate.

To Build The Life You Want To Live

A life where you’re excited to wake up.

Where you get to do fulfilling, creative work.

Where you get to help your clients achieve their goals.

Where you have time for exercise and eating well.

Where you have time for fun and for girls and for something to look forward to at the end of the night.

Where you live in the sun and move at your own pace.

That’s the dream.

Not the suits and the cars and the yachts and the mansions you can’t afford.

The dream is to live a life where you’re happy and grateful to be alive every day.

So chase fulfillment and make that dream a reality
