BEFORE I MASTERED SELLING I WAS JUST LIKE YOU

In fact I was probably worse, in high school I used to get anxiety from having to call the pizza man. I was raised by a bleeding heart, liberal, single mother to be a sweet, sensitive boy. And to top it off, I'm from Canada, a country that is professionally polite.

Calling up strangers and asking them for money was not my first career choice, in fact it was my last career choice. My dream was to be a prop equities trader. I had some brief success in that field but it didn't last long and eventually I found myself without any income, transferable skills or even a college degree.

Not making good money was not an option for me so I knew what I had to do. I had to move into the only industry where a guy like me could do six figures: sales. So I sucked it up, put together a terrible resume and somehow talked my way into a sales job. And I won't lie to you, I was scared.

My first day on the floor I was so scared of making my first cold call that I could barely hold the phone.

BUT THAT WAS THEN, THIS IS NOW

Now I can bang out 300 cold calls a day without flinching.

Now I'm mentally tough as nails.

Now I can close the CEO of a billion dollar company on his way to the bathroom at a conference.

Not only that, but the confidence I learned in sales put my social skills on steroids. Compared to cutthroat corporate sales, picking up girls on the street and dominating social situations is a fucking breeze.

I took what I learned from sales, banked my cash, built an online business and moved to Thailand. I'll never have to work for someone else another day in my life. Selling was my path to financial freedom and I want to show you how that path can be yours, if you want it.

How Is This Different From Any Other Book On Sales?

It’s better. Most sales books are generic, slapped-together garbage peddled by guys who haven't seen a sales floor in decades. Guys who make their millions by selling to you and they have an army of PR people, marketing teams and ad networks to jam you into their sales funnel.

What I liked about 'How To Sell' is its raw honesty. I felt as though I was blasted into the inner dialogue of someone who played the game and won. The strategies that are outlined are something you're not going to get from a vanilla sales book you can get at your local library.

Sure if youve been in the industry a while or you are an avid reader of sales material then you might see some points you already know - while this was true for me it helped me to realise that I had got complacent and wasn't doing those things anymore.
