How To Beat A ColdIntroduction

  • This article describes you how to beat a cold by megadosing Vitamin C

My Experience

  • I usually get 4 colds per year when the seasons change and have tried every remedy available to minimize the effects but none have worked until now
  • I have tried Echinacea, Glutamine, Vitamin D, Vitamin b, Ginseng, Gingko Biloba to no effect but have had massive success with megadosing Vitamin C

Robert Catchart

  • The dosage I used is based on the work Robert Cathcart who studied megadoses of Vitamin C in over 9000 patients
  • His  method is to titrate to bowel  tolerance or in other words megadose vitamin C in measured doses until your bowel movements become loose
  • He noticed the sicker the patient the higher the dosage they would need before tolerance was noticed
  • Cathcart advocates megadosing Vitamin C for many other diseases as well but I haven’t tested the efficacy of any of  those claims
  • Cathcart also advocated splitting megadoses up throughout the day going as high as 100 grams depending on the severity of the cold
  • I dose slightly differently than the Cathcart protocol, he advocates splitting the doses throughout the day where I find taking a megadose in the morning is sufficient as long as you catch the cold in its pre or initial stages, but in my opinion there really is no excuse not to catch the cold in its early stages therefore this should be a non issue, my dosage schedule is below

Dosage

  • Pre Cold: Take 10 grams at the first sign of a cold to prevent the cold
  • Initial Stage Cold: Take 20 grams at this stage (this may cause light diarrhea)
  • Cold:10 grams a day each morning, you will still have the virus but your symptoms will be almost non-existent, I say you will be operating at about 97% health
  • At 10 grams a day your initial bowel movements will be noticeably looser but should be below the level of diarrhea, if you experience diarrhea make sure to slightly lower the dosage
